Praktikum — Growth Operations & AI Automation (m/w/x)

About FIDgate

FIDgate builds the decision engine for renewable-energy projects. Our software co-optimises the design, dispatch and financing of utility-scale solar, wind and battery projects in one pass — replacing weeks of manual analysis and surfacing millions in project value before Final Investment Decision. We're a pre-seed deeptech team, validated on real client projects, now building the commercial engine to scale.

You'd join at the point where a proven technology becomes a repeatable business — and you'd own the systems that make that possible.

How to apply: send a short note on why this fits your studies and interests, plus your CV, to  contact@fidgate.com . Tell us your availability (days/week and dates) and whether your internship is mandatory (Pflichtpraktikum).

FIDgate is an equal-opportunity team. We care more about your potential and drive than about whether you tick every box — if this excites you, apply.

About the job

What you'll own This is a hands-on project role. Under Juan's mentorship, you'll build and run the commercial "operating system" behind our go-to-market: Build our AI automation stack. Stand up a Notion-based CRM connected to Claude (via MCP) and Cowork to auto-draft follow-ups, enrich account records, and generate our weekly pipeline update and sales-funnel snapshot. Keep the pipeline clean. Restructure and maintain our master sales pipeline — defined funnel stages, deduplicated records, one source of truth. Map the market. Research and structure our stakeholder map across the renewable-energy deal chain (developers, IPPs, EPCs, banks, funds). Track the competition. Maintain a competitive-intelligence view of the design, revenue-modelling and consulting tools we compete against. You'll work directly alongside the commercial lead and see how a deeptech company goes from first customers to a repeatable sales motion. Your profile Enrolled student (Bachelor's or Master's) in business, engineering, computer science, data, energy or a related field Ideally completing a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) as part of your studies Hiring process Intro call — a short, informal chat to get to know each other Deep dive with Juan — the role, the projects, and what a great outcome looks like A small practical task — set up one simple automation, so we both get a real feel for the work

What you'll learn The modern AI-automation stack (Notion, LLM workflows via MCP/Cowork, no-code orchestration) applied to a real commercial function How B2B SaaS go-to-market works in practice — pipeline, ICP, funnel metrics, CAC Structured market and competitor research in the energy-transition sector Working cross-functionally in an early-stage startup Format & compensation This role is designed as a Pflichtpraktikum — a mandatory internship prescribed by your university's study or examination regulations, which under §22 MiLoG is exempt from the statutory minimum wage. As such it is an unpaid learning placement, and we provide a learning agreement, structured mentorship, and a detailed reference on completion. If your internship is voluntary rather than mandatory, we can still talk — voluntary placements are structured as either a short (≤3-month) internship or a paid working-student role at or above the statutory minimum wage, in line with German law.
